Controls and Analytics
Our AMI Controls & Analytics group offers clients complete end-to-end hydraulic pressure pumping control automation and data management through its FracCommand Suite.
This highly configurable hardware and software control and data management platform can control the entire frac spread from centralized DVCommand software. FracCommand controls are adaptable for the entire fleet, for existing equipment that needs to be upgraded or pre-installed on new equipment to accommodate a step add approach as fleets are upgraded.
The FracCommand Suite excels by using data from across the frac spread that are reliably collected, automated, analyzed, integrated and reported. All hardware controls plug-and-play to the data van (DVCommand) through our proprietary TCP/IP network to provide seamless installation and setup for the frac job.
The platform is a software library that enables integration of existing controls as well as provide plug-and-play setup of FracCommand Suite controls like PumpLink, BlenderLink, ChemLink, HydrationLink that connect automatically to DVCommand.

DVCommand is the central nervous system of the FracCommand suite. From a centralized location in the data van, DVCommand controls, monitors and displays the whole process; water, proppant, chemicals, flow rate, pressure and more. Our system works with a client's own data van or an NRG Pressure Pumping Technologies unit for a customized solution.
PumpLink is a pressure pump control system designed to configure to any pump or transmission in the industry. This system provides world-class control of pumps with automated, real-time and historical information on pump performance. Frac spreads of up to 32 pumps are supported with a multi-pumper control application in the data van.
Safety features include redundant local and remote controls (software based), as well as fully redundant manual control (hardware based, independent of the software). And many operational interlocks are provided in the controls, some of which are customer configurable, to ensure safe operation and compliance with all operational procedures.
BlenderLink is a customized blender process control that is highly configurable for a variety of sand and dry chemical augers, and tub types. Configurable screens operated from the Data van provide simultaneous centralized control, monitoring, and logging of the blender process.
More than a control system, BlenderLink manages all blender related data in real time and provides historical data via ReportLink for all post job analytics. BlenderLink also includes system wide monitoring, alarm management, and configuration of any vehicle from a centralized location.
ChemLink controls up to 11 pumps to add chemicals to the fluid. Each chemical has closed-loop control based on the blender suction rate, hydration suction rate or simulated rate and required concentration.
Like all of our controls, ChemLink is plug-and-play. Once connected to FracCommand's proprietary TCP/IP network, ChemLink controls are automatically recognized by DVCommand providing easy setup on the job site. All chemical operations can be automated as per the frac schedule entered in the DVCommand software.
HydrationLink integrates with BlenderLink and automatically controls the blender tub level. Each chemical has closed-loop control based on the blender suction fluid rate and required concentration, and it also controls automatic tub level control. This system consists of 5 chem-add loops and auto-tub leveling controls. The HydrationLink controller can operate on its own or be remotely controlled from the DVCommand system.
